Ngahau e Whā

Ngahau e Whā

Step into your spotlight

Rangatahi in the Waikato region are massively talented. Ngahau e Whā is an amazing opportunity for our young people to be mentored in performing arts spanning 12-weeks.

If you’re Māori between 14 and 18 years of age, this could be your golden moment.

We’ll match you with experienced mentors who can work with you to develop your performance skills in either hip hop music, street dance, spoken word or theatre.

The 12 weeks of intensive mentoring workshops and noho marae will nourish a life-long love of expression and push your abilities to shine in performance.

This programme has no cost to be involved but will require rangatahi to be committed to the 12-week-long programme with a keen willingness to be guided and mentored. The programme is funded by Creative New Zealand and delivered by Creative Waikato.
