Happenstance and Purlieus exhibitions opening at SKINROOM
Artists Harry McAlpine and Kohl Tyler-Dunshea invite you to celebrate the joint opening of their debut solo exhibitions Happenstance and & Purlieus, curated by Laree Payne.
Kohl Tyler-Dunshea is an Auckland based Artist and a recent BFA graduate from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design. Kohl works with a variety of mediums, ranging from watercolour paintings to interactive living installations. The content of her work often falls within the purview of Ecology, Globalism and Relational Aesthetics. She was awarded First Place in the 2017 Estuary Art & Ecology Award held at Malcolm Smith Gallery, Auckland, NZ.
Harry Mcalpine is an Auckland based artist and a recent BFA graduate from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design. With a multi-media practice, focusing on philosophical ideas ranging from Ethics to Ontology, Harry's work tends to draw directly from the historical wellspring of philosophical discourse. He was awarded the Whitecliffe Award for outstanding Achievement and was recently shortlisted for the Parkin Drawing Prize held at the Wellington Acadamy of Fine Arts.
The highly sought after Beerloft Brewery will be crafting two custom brews in response to each exhibition.
