In its essence, landscape art shares a composition of natural scenery. In its broadest context, artworks stemming from this subject matter offer an insight into the breadth of our interpretation, engagement and absorption of the natural world.
This exhibition shares a contemporary viewing of landscapes from the University of Waikato Art Collection storeroom, many that have not been displayed for several years. Together they give view into the varying ways we experience our natural and imagined surroundings, and how broadly a depiction of this can be defined.
