The Lazarus String Quartet

Come and feel inspired and animated
The Lazarus String Quartet

It is not often that Cambridge has the opportunity to host a world class group of musicians like the Lazarus String Quartet from Berlin.

With roots from around the globe, the Quartet's diversity puts them at the forefront of exciting young musicians emerging on the Berlin classical music scene. Founded in 2007 by graduates of the University of Canterbury, the group has evolved through great success on the international stage playing in some of Europe's most distinguished concert halls and music festivals.

After graduating with a Masters in Chamber Music in Hanover, the quartet is now based in Berlin. Lazarus has been praised for its virtuosic ease and unified sound with a devotion to performance, leaving audiences feeling inspired and animated.

Performed in the intimacy of our beautiful and historic St Andrews Church, with its great acoustics, this will be one of those occasions that make Cambridge the place to be. This will be the quartet's only performance in the Waikato on their tour of Australia and New Zealand. They will be playing quartets by Mozart, Beethoven and Bartok.
