Synthetic is a brand-new show exploring the ethics of artificial intelligence as well as examining the morals and pitfalls of striving towards creating life.
Drawing on heavy parallels with the story of creation, exploring gender roles, as well as when we qualify for personhood.
Synthetic has already pleased audiences in Tauranga and Auckland and now is coming home to Hamilton. Synthetic is the directors 5th devised piece in his 2 and a half years of devising, some of which you may have seen – Boot, The Judgement of Ecstasy and recently Cordelia, and he is eager to share this new work, and foray into the ethics of science fiction with this theatre and community.
The play is two hours long with a fifteen minute intermission.
