WSA Art School Experimental printmaking with Caroline Peacock

Experimental printmaking
experimental printmaking

Discover the principles of printmaking and continue the creative journey by creating experimental woodcuts. Caroline starts with an introduction to the principals of printmaking and the handling of the printing press with different monotype and monoprint techniques (monotype: individual, non-repetitive prints from one plate that have the same image treated individually. monoprint: unique print from one plate, for example, created by drawing on perspex).

Students will then move on to creating woodcuts from their own designs. While this class focusses on woodcuts and monotypes, it is a great beginners course to get to know our print studios and printing presses, even if you want to move on to etching.
