Entries open for Harcourts Whangamata Art Challenge 2017 Challenge 15 November, 2016
The Whangamata Arts Collective are calling for exhibitors and artists for the Big Arts Day Out in January 2017.
Harcourts, as the sponsors, have provided the prizes of $500, $300 and $200.
The judge is Auckland curator, Finn McCahon-Jones.
The Theme for the Harcourts Whangamata Art Challenge 2017 Challenge is “TOGETHERNESS”
The aim of the Arts Collective Whangamata/Harcourts Art Challenge is to foster and encourage artists living and working in the Coromandel Peninsula. The winning 3 prizes are proudly sponsored by HARCOURTS WHANGAMATA.
All the artworks are available for sale during the “Big Arts Day Out II” weekend.
“The Big Arts Day Out II” will be held at the Memorial Hall, Port Road, Whangamata on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th January, 2017.
Winning artworks can be viewed and purchased during the weekend.
~ Best Artwork of Challenge ¬ $1000
~ Second Place ¬ $300
~ Third Place ¬ $200
Be in quick to apply. The final deadline for applications is 20th December but limited to only 40 entries.
