Strategy & Policy Advisor (Arts & Community) Position Open at Hamilton City Council 3 October, 2017

Arts and cultural pursuits are important aspects for our growing city, and Hamilton City Council play a key role in both.

To meet the expectations of our artistic communities and cultural groups, and ensure they’re well represented in our plans and strategies, Hamilton City Council’s Community Group is currently looking to recruit a new member of its Policy and Planning Team.

The successful candidate will join a Community Group which was recently restructured to provide better service to our organization, our units and our community. The right person for this role will be able to provide strong policy and strategic advice over a number of key areas within Council’s Community group. This will include working on the 10 Year and Annual Plans, and require collaboration with a range of internal and external stakeholders.  Although the role will provide general assistance to the community group, there will be some specific focus on Public Art planning and provision for the city.

The recruiting range for this role starts at $72,600 per annum, and could be negotiated for the right candidate.

This is your chance to be part of an organisation that is committed to building a stronger economy and a more attractive city for families through the delivery of the Hamilton Plan.
