It’s your lucky day. We need 5 specialised creative advocates to join us in our mahi towards a thriving Waikato arts sector.

The roles:  

2x Regional Māori Arts Developers - Kaiwhakahaere i nga Mahi Toi

Yes you saw right. We need not one, but TWO Regional Māori Arts Developers, who possess a love, knowledge and connection to Waikato Toi Māori, and the ability to actively elevate, connect and support the mahi of toi practitioners, enhancing the mana of our community through the lens of nga toi.

An Audience Development Specialist 

How do we get more people engaging with the arts region wide? A person with a special set of skills!  Growing, diversifying and deepening relationships with audiences regionally and working to build regional knowledge on what ‘audience development’ means and involves, and how it can be implemented at different scales throughout the Waikato.

A Creative Education Specialist

Creativity is an inherent part of learning and should be embedded in our education system. We need someone to join our team who has the abilities and skills to build capability to support delivery of arts, culture and creativity as part of the curriculum, within the Waikato education sector.

A Cultural Arts Activator

Work in South Waikato and activate your skills, experience, connections and understanding of our community’s cultural needs and narratives, to plan and deliver projects that increase access and participation in cultural activities. You’ll collaborate with communities to tell their stories, build their creative skills, and connect them with opportunities in the wider cultural sector.

  • Is Fixed Term
  • Works across the Waikato Region
  • Aims to support and strengthen the creative sector in the greater Waikato region with a focus on arts development.

  • A Full Drivers’ licence
  • A Triple shot of self-motivation, initiative and enthusiasm.
