A core component of our mahi is Creative Development. This is a form of community development focussed on working with and for the creative sector.
We have a team of creative development specialists who are on hand to meet with you to korero about all things creative and the many possible pathways for support and growth.
As part of that support, we offer a wide range of online and in-person workshops to help our creative community thrive.
Elevate
Elevate is designed to help you unlock the skills you need to build a sustainable creative career in the arts. It is not about telling you how to do your creative practice. Instead, it is about filling in the gaps.
This free programme offers guidance on the nitty-gritty, like goal setting, time management, procrastination and avoidance, funding tax and so much more. Think of this as the tools you never knew you needed!
Elevate works around your schedule by being fully digital and online, ensuring that your location and availability is never a barrier. You will have access to video content, resources and our team to help guide you.
Developed as a pilot and supported in partnership by the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) and Manatū Taonga Ministry of Culture and Heritage (MCH).
ArtReach
ArtReach is a community-focused creative development tool and resource.
These workshops have largely been designed for groups and community organisations in the arts, culture and creative ecosystem.
The ArtReach workshops are presented in an e-learning video format so this can be done at a time that works best for you and your group, and to ensure that this information is accessible as possible.
Pakihi Toi
Weaving creative passion with profession, Pakihi Toi is a free, online rauemi specifically for Waikato Māori creatives.
Step by step videos lead the learner through 11 sections, each offering clear information on a key aspect of creative business from an expert in the field, and building toward the end result — the learners own personalised Mahere Rautaki — Business Plan!
