Dr. Aimee Anderson-O'Connor

Strategy, Research, Creative Development

Aimee believes in the power of voice and story, and is passionate about the power of creativity to connect and empower.

Her creative practice is mostly with words, though she enjoys dabbling in collage and music, and is currently playing with photography.

As a creative, she knows the limitless potential of collaboration, and the electric currents of brilliance and talent that light up Waikato. She is grateful to belong to a number of writing groups and projects.

Aimee studied History, English and Writing Studies at the University of Waikato. She has a background in research, writing and editing, teaching creative and critical writing at university, and working with rangatahi.

She is a published creative and academic writer and volunteers for Kirikiriroa Zinefest and Mayhem Journal, and when she is not creating, she is angling for a beach trip, or fussing over her cat, Finch.
