Hannah Doherty

Meet Hannah, your first point of contact at Creative Waikato, ready to listen, collaborate, and help facilitate your creative needs. A proud Hamilton local, Hannah has been immersed in the performing arts scene for over 20 years and is deeply grateful to have grown up in such a vibrant creative community.

A performer at heart, her passion has spanned from dancing in studios, singing on stage with various production companies (or in the shower), and rehearsing lines in the car, to sharing scenes with fellow castmates. In recent years she has taken interest in being on the other side of the creative team table with choreographing and volunteering on local theatre group boards. Creativity has always been central to her life, shaped not only by the stage but also by a family home filled with arts and craft from collage, painting, scrapbooking, crocheting, and more!

Beyond the arts, Hannah’s career has taken her through roles in education, IT and community work connecting her with a wide range of people across the Waikato. When not creating, you’ll likely find her at the gym, hiking, or spending time with friends and family.

Now at Creative Waikato, she’s excited to bring her skills, experience, and passion together to support and give back to the community that has inspired her.
